Top Takeaways from today’s show I Need To be Better Than Her:

In the world of hustle and “making goals happen,” there seems to be this internal switch that goes on. It says something like, “I need to be better than her to reach my goals.”

This kind of thinking makes our sister the enemy, and the lusts of the flesh, like jealousy, rise to the occasion.

Most of our striving and desire to be better than her stem from a place within ourselves that hasn’t fully encountered Jesus’ love yet.

Our second greatest commandment we see in the New Testament is from Mark 12:31, “And the second, like it, is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”

Comparison compromises God’s promises and hinders our ability to hear His voice.

Combating the need to be better than her:

PRAY. Pray for the one you compare yourself to.
PARTNER. Partner with her on a project. What a great way to punch the enemy in the face! #amiright?
PROMOTE. Yes, promote her. God’s kingdom isn’t lacking in resources. Promoting her doesn’t hinder you.
