How Your Thoughts Affect Your Health
Starting a new year gives us a sense of momentum. We find ourselves motivated to set new goals for our physical, mental, and spiritual health, but what we can easily neglect is examining how our thoughts are tripping us up. So often we want to fix our external environment without thinking about the internal environment. In this episode, I’m diving into the truth about what the Bible says about how our thoughts affect our health and what they create in the world.
Points from today’s conversation How Your Thoughts Affect Your Health:
We need to stop and think about what we’re thinking. What kind of fruit are you bearing?
Whatever you believe in and hope for gets formed and created into a substance in this physical world.
Made in God’s image, not our parent’s image.
The more that we begin to become formed by the world and our flesh and our own desires, the further we come from Christ.
Think about your heart condition. What is your goal for your soul?
Scriptures to ponder on how you think about your health:
Pleasant words are like honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and health to the bones. Proverbs 16:24
The spirit of a man will sustain him in sickness but who can bear a broken spirit. Proverbs 18:14
Death and life are in the power of the tongue. Proverbs 18:22
Anxiety in the heart of man causes depression but a good word makes it glad. Proverbs 12:25
Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and depart from evil. It will be health to your flesh, And strength to your bones. Proverbs 3:7-8
